HI Connect 2014
Artaic collaborated with FH Design to incorporate roughly 1,000 square feet of custom mosaic into the Bar/Lounge vignette at HI Connect Design trade show in Nashville. The award winning space incorporated cool turquoise tones and clean lines to create a sophisticated, modern poolside retreat.
HI Connect Design is an annual 3-day event that brings together the hotel industry’s leading designers, suppliers, architects, and purchasing companies. Participants can explore 50 unique vignettes that showcase the finest collaborative guest room, bathroom, and public space designs.

Collaborative DESIGN process
Artaic and Brenda Geoghagan of FH Designs collaborated on the placement of the tile in the space along with the final imagery. Three areas were selected for custom Artaic tile – two mirrored sitting areas and a long strip in the middle of the floor leading up to the bar.
Through several design iterations, a custom take on the Cloudburst tile pattern from Artaic’s SPLASH! Mosaic Collection was created. The water-like form and color of the design brings a beautiful liveliness to the space.

Amazing Results
Artaic’s robotic fabrication system produced the 1000 sqft of mosaic in one week. The square foot tile sections were then labeled, packed up with a diagram, and shipped to Nashville for install.
Thanks to the amazing team, supporters, and voting attendees, Artaic won the 2014 People’s Choice Award for Coolest Public Space Product!
Additionally, the vignette won the award for Best Public Space – an award FH Design won two years in a row.
