Mosaics Come to Life with Walking Tour
On October 26th, a crisp fall afternoon, Lu Dubois, Artaic’s National Account Manager, guided colleagues through the innovative and progressive Boston’s Seaport District, touring a total of six Artaic mosaics within the concentrated area.
This was a great opportunity to show off the finished product after hours of collaboration with our designers, architects and installers in creating these magnificent pieces of art. Our work is beautiful and seeing these mosaics first hand really exemplifies the large scalability and the transformative capability our custom mosaics have over a space.-Lu Dubois
Those participating in the tour were able to see jaw dropping works up-close and personal- see mosaics below

3. One Marina Park
Inspired by the flowing movements and patterns of brushstrokes in Japanese artwork and calligraphy, the wave-like tile pattern offers an elegant touch to the building lobby, greeting visitors and employees as they make their way to the upper floors.

4. Vertex Pharmaceuticals
In creating the key accent pieces for the lobbies, the goal was to produce a final mosaic that could stand alone as a piece of artwork while still fitting in with the Vertex brand. The final piece is an abstract accent wall that references the research roots of the company.

5. Envoy Hotel
Using bold primary colors and playful, multidimensional silhouettes, Artaic worked with Group One Partners to create these custom wall mosaics to fit in with the Envoy’s downtown vibe. Installed in the hotel’s public bathrooms, the stunning graphics help create an immersive design experience for visitors and guests.

6. Empire Restaurant
Surrounding the Kitchen and sushi Bar, central to the restaurant is a custom designed mosaic floor pattern by Artaic. The 1,850 sqft mosaic uses roughly 266,400 individual 1_ porcelain tiles to create a dynamic pattern that draws guests to the dramatic open kitchen. Integrating warm orange and brown tones with pops of vibrant turquoise, the tile pattern along with detailed ceilings and geometric-patterned grates and screens, custom glass, and a dramatic, fiery “Foo” dog carpet create a multi-layered and textural design that is not to be missed!
