Salem Five Bank Reading
The “Salem Harbor” mosaic was inspired by an original oil painting depicting historical Salem Harbor commissioned by the bank on it’s 150th anniversary in 2005. Since then, the image has been used in the bank’s various collateral and merchandising schemes, including larger scale vinyl used as a mural style wall covering to create a point of interest in the branches.
“We always thought the vinyl murals were a nice touch, but now our marquis branch boasts a true work of art. During this critical time in our industry it is a testament to our strength, stability, and longevity as a North Shore institution. We were thrilled to bring this colorful image of historic Salem Harbor to the Reading community, in a way that everyone stopping in and driving by will enjoy it’s unique beauty, and associate that with our brand.”
-SVP of Consumer Banking, Janis Dodge
The 100 square foot mural uses 3/8″ vitreous glass and Artaic’s unique backlit technology to create a showpiece for the Bank branch. The mosaic is clearly visible through the glass fade at all hours, catching the eye of early morning and evening commuters.
