Philadelphia International Airport

To enrich traveler’s experience, Philadelphia’s Public Art Program and Philadelphia Airport came together to commission original artwork in Terminals B and C. They requested highly durable 2-dimensional artwork and made their selection based on creativity, artistic merit and technical proficiency.

Artaic helped realize the vision of artist Ava Blitz – transforming her artwork, a depiction of cherry blossoms titled PINK, in vibrant 3/8″” vitreous glass tile. The work used 98,080 individual tiles to inspire a contemplative experience and an oasis for stressed travelers.
