IHS Markit
When IHS Markit opened its New York City office at 450 West 33rd Street, it sought an environment as dynamic as its work. Calling upon integrated architecture, design, planning and consulting firm Gensler to design the new workplace, the global leader in information and analytics envisioned an open, entrepreneurial space evocative of the company’s team-oriented structure.

IDEA TO IMPLEMENTATION
IHS Markit’s fifth-floor location spans the city block, lending itself to a large, open concept. Intimate color coding and a scheme of bright hues to make the office feel cheery and vibrant while aiding in wayfinding. Beyond rich paint and vivid fabrics, Artaic created colorful custom backsplashes and wall murals to adorn the office’s social areas, including the cafe and pantry, and denote particular floors or locations within the workspace.
