Gather Restaurant

At the intersections of digital and physical, art and technology, Artaic continually stretches the bounds of what can be designed in tile. For the inaugural Design ‘N Gather mosaic competition we welcomed designers of all backgrounds to do the same.

We provided designers with the unique tools to design original mosaic artwork, which could then be submitted for the opportunity to be produced by Artaic and permanently installed at Gather Restaurant in Boston’s Innovation District.

Through a blind judging process, Joseph Lyman’s “Building Dreams II” was selected as the mosaic that best represented the characteristics of the innovation district, District Hall, and Gather, both in imagery and narrative.
