Artaic Partners with Artists For Humanity on Latest Design to Join the URBN Collection

Kaleidoscope Dream Comes to Life as a Mosaic with a Striking Geometric, Color-Blocked Design

Boston, MA — November 2018 — Artaic is happy to announce the launch of a new mosaic design within the company’s URBN collection: Kaleidoscope Dream by Maradia Rosemary Rene. The URBN collection is composed of high contrast, abstract patterns and is a bold mosaic collection that celebrates Boston’s urban youth. Kaleidoscope Dream is a perfect fit as it matches the aesthetics of the collection, offering a geometric, color-blocked pattern in a variety of colorways.

Artaic collaborated with local non-profit Artists For Humanity (AFH) for the expansion of this collection, using design technology to transform AFH teen member Maradia Rosemary Rene’s original artwork into a mosaic mural. As with the other URBN designs, sales proceeds from Kaleidoscope Dream will be donated to AFH, which will benefit other young artists in the Boston area.

Since its founding in 1991, Artists for Humanity has used art and design to bridge economic, racial, and social divides by providing creative training, mentorship, and paid employment opportunities to underserved urban youth. AFH grew from an unconventional idea that young people can provide contemporary creative services to the business community.

Kaleidoscope Dream marks the URBN collection’s 22nd design, which is part of a group of mosaics inspired by urban imagery in colors that range from bold to neutral. The series as a whole evokes stark industrial scenes, high contrast abstract patterns, and bold graffiti. All of the designs in the collection can be customized to fit any space.
