Apple Store Mosaic Workshop Boston

Artaic along with Boston Society of Architect’s Public Art Initiative Committee and Boston’s Apple Store hosted the “Public Art in the Digital Age” workshop on December 3. The purpose of the workshop was to bring architects and artists together to integrate artistic mosaic installations into building practices.

Twelve teams consisting of both an architect and an artist collaborated at workstations set up on the third floor of Boston’s Apple store. Utilizing Artaic’s mosaic design software, Tessera, the teams created unique mosaic designs – most for specific locations around Boston.

With only two hours of total workshop time which amounted to about an hour of artist/architect collaboration time, it was truly amazing how much beautiful work was produced.
