Artaic produces highly customized tile mosaic art murals for a wide variety of applications, primarily within the commercial hospitality architecture and interior design industry. Artaic is inventing and applying a proprietary, partially automated system of front-end design software linked to back-end inventory management and robotic fabrication. THE POSITION
Artaic’s entry-level opportunity for a Digital Mosaic Designer will gain meaningful hands-on experience with Artaic’s design processes in a highly collaborative small company environment. He/She/They will work under the guidance of the design director to produce 2D mosaic’s for client projects and in-house design collections. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented individual, able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a true passion for art and design.
OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers fast, personalized, and creative 2D mosaic renderings for clients/internal teams to impact sales and brand loyalty.
- Use Artaic’s proprietary mosaic design software “Tylist”. Download Tylist: artaic.com/Tylist
- Create repeating patterns, abstract designs, original artwork, and sourced artwork for in-house design collections.
- Collect, measure and analyze client and industry trends to influence design development.
- Daily use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
WHAT YOU BRING
- BFA or equivalent experience in Textile design, Interior design, Industrial design, Product design, or related field.
- Genuine passion for art and design, a strong eye for color and composition, and a pulse on industry trends.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required.
- Able to understand/learn to read architectural elevations, design documents, and basic units of measurement
- Team player with initiative, willingness to listen and learn, and drive to collaborate and share among teammates
- Service and solution-oriented.
- Ability to Interpret written direction into visual design renderings.
- Comfortable working at a face pace and able to manage daily deadlines
- Extremely detail oriented
COMPENSATION
$40,000-$52,000 per year based on qualifications and experience. Paid time off and Healthcare benefits offered.
