A Year In Review, Looking Back at 2017
Last year held significance for Artaic and the team with a move to the Boston Design Center, Flourish – a fabulous new design collection, unique collaborations with remarkable designers, and the biggest ever Design ‘N Gather competition at the Hyde Bellagio. Lets take a look!
Flourish
We’ll start by reminiscing about our favorite collection yet – Flourish! Ashley, lead designer of Flourish states, “The Flourish Collection is special to me because the concept was inspired by an adventure to the Boston Flower Market. I couldn’t help but sketch the beautiful plant life I saw there, and from these drawings, the collection was born.”
Ashley was excited to be able to use the 3/8″ tile for this collection because the size and color palette allowed so much freedom within the details, resulting in beautiful designs. “I hope that people continue to fill their spaces with botanical designs,” said Ashley, “the imagery brings life to the space no matter what season may be outside!”
With the ability to customize these blooming patterns from color to scale, all of these brilliant designs are extremely versatile and will enhance your space with nature and art.
Texas State Aquarium
Collaborating with Julie Harunian, Senior Exhibition Designer at Boston based Lyons/Zaremba, Inc., Artaic produced a large custom mosaic for a blank elevator wall in the Texas State Aquarium.
Moving to the Boston Design Center
We are excited to have opened our new showroom at the Boston Design Center, suite 644. Come by to take a tour of our new manufacturing facility and see those robots in action!
Design ‘N Gather 2017
Artaic’s annual Design ‘N Gather (DNG) competition was held for the second time in Las Vegas at the Hyde Bellagio. Architectural Designer Lisa Darroh-Pouls of Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Pouls Hospitality Design was announced as the Grand Prize Winner for her stunning backlit creation of “Champagne Wishes.”
