Legal Sea Foods Harborside

This abstract mosaic for Legal Sea Foods’ flagship restaurant is a reinterpretation of an oil painting aptly named “Fish in Turmoil.” The dynamic and frenetic underwater scene uses vibrant blue vitreous glass that recall the look of stained glass, and glimmer in the lights of the main dining room. Artaic manipulated an image of the original painting, which hangs proudly in Legal Seafoods CEO, Roger Berkowitz’s office to create an original design. The new design was run through Artaic’s software to turn the design into a one-of-a-kind mosaic. Once the design was done, production of all 268 square feet of mosaic took just four days to produce Ð ready just in time for the grand opening of the restaurant.
